Animals are our family. Help this little guy.
In mom, Jaye's, own words, "This handsome boy is in the hospital. He's had three UTI's in seven weeks. This time became emergent as he was not passing urine, had vomiting & a small bit of diarrhea, and wasn't acting himself. He had a blocked urethra which can be fatal. His creatinine level has risen which is a concern. His input- output is also concerning so they have increased his fluid intake. That's risky as cats can have cardiac issues with too much fluid. There's a good chance he'll have to stay through the weekend. I was given a dish of food and he did eat. He attacked the food and after a few bites would seem to forget that he was eating. He must be pretty doped up. He would start eating again and forget again. He ate about half the serving. His urine still shows a bit of blood and must be clear before he can come home. He's not liking the cone, the catheter, or the tubing. Who would? He has Struvite crystals which cause the obstruction. They are radiolucent meaning they don't show on x-ray."
Please help get this boy on his way to recovery and back home. His sister, Dragon, is missing him terribly! This will be an ongoing health issue. Thank you so much! ❤️

9/13 Cosmos update: His kidney issues continue and he'll require further overnight stays. He will be transferred to another facility today.

He's home with Jaye & Dragon! Final emergent vet charges over $7000 (and quickly rising as he now requires surgery) He will need lifestyle adjustments plus continued care!

Update 9/25:
Seemed like Cosmos was on the mend. Unfortunately, tonight when I got home from work he was not himself. He actually mewed in pain, wouldn't sit all the way down on his bottom, refused food, and seemed to try to urinate or defecate outside of his litter box. So, we are currently at the emergency vet. Seeing him in pain is breaking my heart.
***Cosmos is blocked again. Another $3100 tonight. He needs PU surgery. Have to call around and see if I can find it for less than the $11,000 they want here. The surgery comes with risks, but, it's our only option at this point. It's barely been two weeks since his last blockage. ***

9/27: He's home again, post radiation
