Help Katie fight bone cancer

Hello, We’re Allison and Brendan Clark. We’re thankful that you took the time to read this story. Our dear friend Katie Schwartz was recently and shockingly diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Bone Cancer. Her oncologist is already recommending hospice care. It has also spread to her lungs. We’re working to secure funds for her upcoming expenses including health insurance, medications, rent, and day to day care. While she’s fighting with everything she has, she has been given limited time.

Katie was hit hard financially in 2023 due to the talent strikes in Los Angeles. She is a caring, bright person who makes everyone laugh. If this shoe was on the other foot and any of her friends needed help she would do anything to help them so in kind we’re here ready to help her.

March 12th update:

Katie Schwartz has been given an additional diagnosis of Carcinomatous Meningitis. The general prognosis for this is 2-4 months but we are waiting on an official prognosis from her oncologist.

From National Institutes of Health:

“Carcinomatous Meningitis is the dissemination of malignant cells from the primary tumor sites to leptomeningeal layers of the Central Nervous System. It occurs in the advanced stage of any cancer. It is a rare complication with a dismal prognosis. It causes a wide array of symptoms according to the site of metastasis.”

March 14th update:

Katie suffered a massive stroke due to a blood clot caused by a tumor on her spine. We'll keep you posted with further updates.

March 15th update:

Katie is in the hospital. Everyone's doing what's possible to keep her comfortable. She is getting great care.

March 16th update:

Katie has entered hospice. She continues to receive great care and support. We appreciate you sharing Katie's page as we continue to raise funds for her expenses. She sends her love and gratitude to everyone.

March 26th update:

It's with heavy hearts that we relay Katie passed away this morning 9:35 am PT. Her sister Kerri was with her. We thank you all for your kindness and support. It has made all the difference.
