Support Craig and His Family During Recovery

On Tuesday, June 25th, 2024, Craig, who works in construction, experienced a severe accident while working in downtown Tallahassee. He was digging four 4ft holes to place a guardrail when the bucket on the excavator unexpectedly released a 2000lb guardrail onto his back. This tragic incident resulted in a broken back, specifically injuring his L2 and L4 vertebrae. One vertebra was completely shattered, and the other was cracked in half. Craig had to undergo extensive surgery to replace one vertebra with metal and the other with screws.

Craig faces a long and challenging recovery period of at least three months. He and his wife, Shonda Barksdale, are parents to four young children, ages 9, 7, 3, and 1. As the main provider for his household, Craig’s inability to work during his recovery puts immense financial strain on the family.

We are kindly asking for your support through donations and prayers for Craig’s speedy recovery. Your contributions will help cover medical bills, physical therapy, rehabilitation, and household expenses during this difficult time.

Thank you all for your generosity and support. Every penny and prayer is deeply appreciated by our family.
