Rachel is well known for her constant cheerfulness. If you've ever been helped by her at Publix or had her as your dental assistant, it is very likely that her contagious positive energy has improved your day.
Rachel found out yesterday that she has Melanoma, a cancer that is no joke, in the back of one of her eyes. We are heartbroken with this news and to make it worse, we've learned that she has no family able to help support her and no medical insurance.
Her local eye doctor sent her to a specialist in Tampa, where she is scheduled to have an appointment on Friday, January 26th. She is lucky to have a close friend able to drive out to Tampa and be there with her for this appointment. At that visit they will figure out how to treat her cancer. A $2,000 deposit is owed in order to make this initial appointment.
