Be an Angel!  Wanted to give y’all a quick update. Thank you to all my Angels who have helped me in my fight against my Ovarian Cancer. As the medical bills roll in, I need more help to pay the hospital and keep the treatments coming. Also, a portion of the donations will go to research for OC.  Please Join my team of Angels. Hi most of you know me as Captain Marlena or just Marlena, Lanie, or Auntie Lanie. Or a few other names on occasion..lol. As most of you know, I was diagnosed this week with Ovarian Cancer. My next few months will be filled with Doctors and Nurses and Pain and Chemotherapy and additional surgery or surgeries. But you all know that I am strong and determined. And I promise each and every one of my dear friends that I will fight this.

But I need some help. You all know I rarely ask anyone for anything so this is difficult. But due to the medical procedures in stores for me the next few months, I must move ashore at the worst possible time of the year. Season. Housing in nearly non-existent and crazy expensive. Not to mention the chemo can be upwards of $100,000. I do have insurance, but it remains to be seen how helpful that is. My immediate concern is to find a land based dwelling here in Marathon, where I will be able to be somewhat comfortable during the dark days of chemo and surgery. Anyway, this is where you come in. Any assistance you can provide is so much appreciated. I am urgently in need of this help as my chemo begins February 15th. The prayers and kind words have helped my get through this past week. I look forward to recovery and somehow paying back or paying forward all the love and kindness you all have given and continue to give.
