My name is Bill Cook. My wife's name is Isabelle, and we have a teenage son named Vasili. In 2015 we were dealt a series of serious setbacks, and we need your help.

In February of 2015, I lost my full-time job, and I was the major breadwinner for our family. I was able to pick up temporary work but that ended in July of 2015. Soon after that, I was hit with a second life-changing event: I was diagnosed with Stage 3 esophageal cancer. I celebrated the holidays going through treatment that exacted a heavy toll on me physically, and on me and my family emotionally.

While my long-term prognosis is good, our finances are not. Unemployment expired in December of 2015 with no extension. We have insurance through the Affordable Health Care plan (Obamacare), but it’s costly and not terrific. 

That’s why I set up this GoFundMe campaign, because we are in desperate need. We are trying to raise $60,000 to help pay for our medical bills, outstanding debts and living expenses. I humbly ask for your generosity and hope you will give from your heart.
