Solo Mom trying to catch up on bills

Dearest friends,

Writing a gofundme campaign for myself and my family is not something I ever imagined I would have to do. Our situation is such that I am forced to reach out and ask for help.

After years of being in an abusive marriage, I managed to escape and attempt to start over. I wanted to give my children the life they deserved in a loving peaceful home. After applying for countless jobs and being called in for interviews, I have been unable to secure long term employment. I was able to work as a freelancer here and there to sustain us in the short term, but it never lasts long enough and I keep finding myself back at the drawing board. You can imagine how heavy this can weigh on a single mother, and it most certainly does.

I managed to secure someone to help me with the kids (two of them are not in school yet), and in exchange I provided her free room and board. During this time, I started to build my own small business and have been working to launch an eCommerce business. This person who I trusted, then proceeded to steal my business inventory, which in turn caused me to fall deeper into a financial detriment.

I am learning that being a single mother is the hardest job in the world. It is impossible to secure childcare that is affordable so that I can provide for my kids. I know I am not alone in this predicament. Single mothers need help! Many of us are just barely keeping our heads above water.

This gofundme ask is to help us while I am waiting on some assistance programs to come through while I continue to try to find work. Your donations will help cover the cost of the following:

Water, electric and gas bills to prevent shut offs.
Childcare while I look for work.
Baseball and Tball for the kids to engage in physical and social activity they need now more than ever.
Some much needed home repairs to ensure a safe home for the kids.
Mouthguard to help with my ever worsening TMJ from stress.
Overdue vaccinations for our cats.

If you have made it this far and are still reading, I am grateful. Please consider a contribution to help me. I will provide updates here moving forward so you can be informed on my progress.

Contributions of $50 and up will receive an “Empower your Daughters” t-shirt in preferred style and size.

THANK YOU ALL for your support during this very difficult time.
