Jerred Byrd Fund

My name is Patrick Galatowitsch and I am the principal at Leesburg Elementary School in Leesburg, Florida. This past Friday, September 26th, one of our kindergarten children, Jerred Byrd was playing outside of his family home. A car ran Jerred over and dragged him fifty feet through a parking lot before stopping. Jerred was airlifted to Shand's hospital in Gainesville, Florida. He underwent multiple surgeries. He was severely injured, sustaining two broken femurs, 3rd degree road rash over much of his body and bruising to some of his internal organs. The family is of limited means and we are trying to raise money to be able to help this family with their current and upcoming medical and related expenses. The family spent the first two nights with their son in the Intensive Care Unit at Shands hospital in Gainesville, FL. We were able to cover the cost of a hotel room for the family on Sunday, September 28th. They will have many expenses over the next weeks and months helping their son to recover. Please help our Leesburg Elementary School family to help this family through this very difficult time.
