hi guys, my name is Evelyn and I am Mario’s daughter. My family and I started this gofundme is to cover Mario’s medical expenses due to an emergency open heart surgery coming up this Friday 10/21, as well as multiple ER visits.

My dad had gone for almost a week with a pain in his chest and two ER visits that resulted in doctor’s telling him this was a common gastrointestinal discomfort. Once he arrived for a second opinion at another ER, they rushed him to surgery within 24 hours due to inflammation around the heart, and other urgent matters. His stay will be much longer than expected, and will be in the hospital for almost 2 weeks.

With the surgery, he will be left out of work for weeks and have medical expenses that will take a toll. This is to please help offset the cost, and to relieve stress off him as he is one of the most selfless people I’ve ever met, and we do not want him to worry. If you know Mario, he is one of the most relentless, sweetest, and hard working people you will know. If this was his world, he would be working and socializing while still in the hospital.

Mi papá había estado casi una semana con un dolor en el pecho y dos visitas a emergencias que resultaron en que el médico le dijera que se trataba de un malestar gastrointestinal común. Una vez que llegó para una segunda opinión a otra sala de emergencias, lo llevaron rápidamente a cirugía dentro de las 24 horas debido a una inflamación alrededor del corazón y otros asuntos urgentes.

Su estancia será mucho más larga de lo esperado, y estará en el hospital casi 2 semanas. Con la cirugía quedará sin trabajo durante semanas y tendrá gastos médicos que le pasarán factura. Esto es para ayudar a compensar el costo y aliviarle el estrés, ya que es una de las personas más desinteresadas que he conocido y no queremos que se preocupe.

Si conoces a Mario, es una de las personas más tercas, dulces y trabajadoras que conocerás. Si este fuera su mundo, estaría trabajando y socializando mientras aún estuviera en el hospital.
