On2 Girls off to World Championship

You can't put a limit on anything. The more you dream, the further you get.

Carleigh Semeniuk and Brooke Kucab have dreamed of wearing the maple leaf and representing Canada in international beach volleyball for many years, individually at first and now as partners. Limits may have told them you are too small, too young or that this is just too much work. These accomplished athletes pushed the boundaries recently, and at the age of 16 they won the U19 Canadian Trials bring them one step closer to their dream.

The talent these girls possess is one thing but its their obvious love of the sport, relentless dedication to each other and youthful enthusiasm that have propelled them forward. In July they will travel to Cyprus for the U19 World Championships proudly wearing their beloved maple leaf!

Amateur athletes are supported in a limited capacity for this event and they need the support of friends and family to help them as they continue to train and subsequently travel abroad to represent Canada this summer.
