On November 9th, our family experienced a nightmare we will never forget. While attending the Bears game, Laura suddenly went into cardiac arrest. One moment she and her family were cheering in the stands… the next, our world changed.

Thanks to the swift, heroic actions of her family and the help of two incredible Bears fans providing CPR (a firefighter and a nurse who happened to be in the stands nearby), her life was saved. We are forever grateful to them (and if anyone has a lead on how to find them, let us know)!

Since that day, she has been hospitalized and continues fighting through each step of recovery. The road ahead is uncertain, and the days have been long, emotional, and overwhelming. But we are holding on to hope and faith.

As her medical needs grow, so do the expenses with decreased means due to lost income from being unable to work. We are raising funds to help cover:

-Ongoing hospital expenses

-Outpatient procedures and treatments

-Rehabilitation once she stabilizes

-Transportation, caregiving needs, and other unexpected costs

-Financial uncertainty in returning to work and when
