Robin Nelson's Medical Fund

Donation protected
To start off I want to say thank you for taking the time to visit this GoFundMe page, it means the world to our family.  I Micah (Nelson) Kemper have set this page up to help out some AMAZING people in need, my parents Mark & Robin Nelson.  As most of you know they have been on a very long medical journey that has span most of my mother's life.  At the age of 10 Mom was diagnosed as a diabetic and has lived an extremely full life since then.  Over time however her body began to get tired and she ended up on dialysis for the last 2.5 to 3 years.  Once on dialysis that meant that she was eligible for a kidney or kidney/pancreas combination transplant.

After waiting for what seemed like FOREVER she got the call from Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota in late October that there was a donor that could give her the kidney/pancreas transplant.  It is because of this donor and the donor's family that my Mother is where she is at today and I thank them each day for that.  Since her first surgery Mom has unfortunately had to have 2 more surgeries with the last one in the middle of December that re-dates her original transplant to this new date.

Through all of this my Father has been by her side at Mayo, helping to care for her and be her caregiver.  They are currently living in a transplant house called The Gift of Life House.  It sounds fabulous but each person there has their story and all are trying to heal and get home.  Originally the recovery to home period was that they would be home in the middle of December, however because of the multiple surgeries their new expected home date is truly unknown.

With both my parents not working as you can imagine this is can become a financial burden, which nobody would want.  That is why our family and more specifically my parents would be eternally grateful for your giving.  However we do understand that giving may not be something that you can do right now, we then ask you to join us in prayer for quick healing and no more time added to their time at Mayo Clinic.  Whether you are able to give or give in prayer we ask that you share this page with anyone and everyone who may have at some point in their life been impacted by the relationships they have with my parents or the life of living with a transplant.

If you are able to give financially we thanks you and ask that you do so as soon as you can as we want to raise the funds to help pay medical bills as quick as possible.  Also we want to again thank you for coming along side us in both prayer and financially.

God Bless,
  Micah (Nelson) Kemper
