Help us from losing our home.

Hi, my name is Heather and I'm reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my mom, myself, and our little fur family.

After over 30 years of marriage, my mom’s husband walked out on her without warning and moved 1,200 miles away. He left us behind, almost three months behind on rent and bills—with no help, no support, and no plan. He completely abandoned her.

My mom is retired and only receives about $1,100 a month. Our rent alone is $1,500—not even counting utilities and other essentials. I’m actively looking for work every day, but jobs have been hard to come by, and time is running out. We’re now facing eviction.

We’re doing everything we can. Holding yard sales. Selling nearly everything we own. But it’s just not enough. People aren’t buying, and the bills keep stacking up.

We also have a dog, two cats (one of them pregnant), and four kittens. They are our family, and we could never leave them behind. We plan to find loving homes for the kittens when the time comes, but right now, we’re trying to keep a roof over all our heads.

Cover first and last month’s rent on a more affordable home

Avoid being forced out with nowhere to go

This situation is affecting us deeply—mentally, emotionally, and physically. We’re scared. We don’t have family nearby. It’s just us, trying to hold on, trying to stay hopeful, and praying for a second chance.
