Eviction Recovery Funds for Nancy
Donation protected
I was born to a lineage of strong, courageous woman, led by my mother. The moment my father passed away, when my twin sister and I were just babies, she faced the world with passion in her heart and fear at her back. I am certain that it is to her that I owe every good part of myself. That is why, at this time of fear and uncertainty I am going to do everything to make sure she will be alright.
My mother Nancy, at 71 years old, will be evicted from her home on Monday, Oct. 28th 2019. This event comes after years of battling with our corrupt landlords, Two Trees. Two trees has stolen everything from our lives, including years of sanity and now my mother's home.
I am raising money to help off-set the costs of her eviction and to try and save as much of our possessions as possible. I am also raising money to ensure she can be reunited with our two cats: Daisy and Sadie who have become her constant companions in the years since my sister and I have left home, and whoa are currently being housed elsewhere temporarily.
As a full-time student, supporting myself through loans, I have no disposable income. Other members of my family are in similar situations of financial struggle.
Please consider donating if you have anything to spare. If you are based in the Brooklyn area and have ideas for how you can help in other ways please reach out.
Though the eviction will be carried out on Monday needs for funding go beyond that time, as eviction is the first step in a long road to recovery of her life. So even after the date has passed, if you could continue to give, my family and I would be very appreciative.
