 Hollie (56) and her 16 year old daughter, Dani have been going through hard times finding a place to live after years of family and spousal abuse. Hollie is a part time professional singer and artist. She often works seven days a week at her landscaping business, maintaining her own work truck and equipment, homeschooling, and looking for opportunities to barter her lawn care services for rent and other expenses. There's a lot of work to do but not a lot of money in hand.  As we all know, every day brings new challenges, but the dynamics change completely when dealing with chronic depression, PTSD, and no support. Hollie is navigating life after several head injuries and is currently being treated for cancer.
A year and a half ago, Hollie made the decision to walk away from abusive situations in search of safety, independence and peace. They didn't get off to a strong start but perseverance and determination keep them going. Art, music, movies, swimming and reading together are favorite passtimes, and they enjoy spending time with their two dogs, who are a big part of what holds this family together as a unit.

Dani, an avid reader, is also musically and artistically talented. She does her part holding it all together and caring for her mom and her dogs, while attempting to live life as a teenager.
Mom hopes getting settled will allow Dani to regain her focus on graduating from the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts as a bassist. She's always dreamed of  going to Rice University and beyond. But the realization of what this life can bring has hit her hard, many times, to the extent of once attempting to take her life. She needs hope.

The cost of living, including food, a place to live~(they are currently in a borrowed RV that will be returned to the owner on June 26, 2019), auto repairs, inspection, registration, insurance, equipment supplies and maintenance, gas for medical appointments and work, has completely overwhelmed this family of two. 

We hope raising money for Hollie, Dani, Buddy and Cricket will not only relieve the pressures of survival, but get them into a lasting, stable and peaceful environment.
Holding on this long is like treading water in the ocean with no help in sight.  Yes, it happens sometimes, to the best of us. But occasionally we get the chance to make a significant difference and this is one of those times.
To reach our goal would allow this little family to catch a breath and maybe even focus on the future.
