My name is Ana Guindon. I am asking for help on behalf of my siblings and I to honor our dad Manuel Hernandez properly. He passed on November 30th at the age of 69. While he made some arrangements- not everything is covered and unfortunately it can be a small fortune to honor your loved ones. I am asking for help because this will alleviate some of the financial stress of funeral services.

Our father was born in a small town in Mexico and made his way to the United States in the 70s. Although he was born in Mexico, he lived in Stockton most of his life where he made his own family and stayed here until his last days. Our dad was a hard worker who did his best to support all of his family near and far. He always wanted to help and as his grandkids were born, he made sure he showed up at all the birthdays or any event he was invited to. He was a proud dad and grandpa.

He battled nasopharyngeal cancer valiantly and beat it a little over 10 years ago. He also made a comeback after having 2 strokes a couple of years ago. Our dad kept fighting and doing his best to stay- I know he did that for us and for his grandkids.

Our dad went onto bigger and better things on November 30th after 3 weeks in the hospital. We were by his side until the end, the way he would have wanted it to be. We are heartbroken that he is no longer here with us because he was someone you could depend on irrefutably. He will be missed every single day, but we are so grateful for his strength that kept him with us just a little longer to have one last birthday together.

We are very grateful for the support we have received, whether monetary or not it is greatly appreciated.
