Today our family is facing an unexpected and heartbreaking crisis. My nephew, Cesario Perez, suffered a severe accident when he fell off a ladder and broke his knee in multiple places. He went through emergency surgery and is now going through extensive medical care and rehabilitation.
Cesario is a young man with a big heart. He’s been staying home to care for his mother, Adtuana Garza, who has been struggling with ongoing health issues and is unable to work. Because he is his mother’s caregiver, Cesario does not have a job or health insurance. His father, Juan Eligio Garza, works in the maintenance department for the Rio Grande CityGISD school district, but his income is very limited and cannot cover the medical expenses that are already beginning to build.
As you can imagine, the financial burden of emergency surgery, hospitalization, follow-up care, and rehabilitation is overwhelming for the family. We are doing everything we can to support him, but the reality is that we are facing costs far beyond our reach.
We are humbly asking our community, friends, and anyone who feels moved to help—
please consider donating anything you can. No amount is too small. Your generosity will go directly toward Cesario’s surgery, treatment, and recovery.
We know it is a difficult time of year and many families are struggling financially. If you are unable to give monetarily, we graciously ask for your prayers for healing, strength, and comfort for Cesario and his parents.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for reading, for sharing, and for caring. Your support means more than you know.
May God Bless you
