Hey everyone, Many of you know me Chris “Big Chris” Bernard as the big teddy bear that’s worked in the local nightlife industry and in personal protection for over 25 years now. I wasn’t always a big guy, most of you would’ve thought I played basketball or football growing up but as a true South Beach local I was actually a really skinny kid skateboarding all over the tri-county skate spots and not to brag was really good at it but once I turned 18 my body decided it was time to grow into the big intimidating guy most of you have known now for ages and could never picture me any other way. Naturally I got into working security at the top clubs in South Beach back when the nightlife scene was second to none eventually running security at many notorious clubs and bars for years and bodyguarding numerous big name clients. I may look mean and intimidating but as most of you know I’m just a really nice guy and love to have fun and joke around with the friends I’ve made through out the years like one large dysfunctional family that we’ve become and I love all you guys as if you were a part of my real family. Now the hard part, as many of you know by now I had a huge health scare recently which almost cost me my life, fortunately it didn’t take my life but did take my leg. By the time I got to the hospital after only two days of foot pain they gave me an ultimatum either they amputate my leg right then and there or I would be dead within 24 hours. Thankful I’m OK and back home now so I can concentrate on my health and rehabilitation but I won’t be able to protect you guys again like I loved doing for all these years for a while, we’ll see how my mobility is once I get a new leg made for me. Since I’ll be out of commission until then I’ve created this GoFundMe page which most of you know I’m not the type to ever ask for any help but there’s no way I can take care of all my personal and medical bills plus support my family right now, so if you can help a brother out it would be much appreciated from me and my family.
