Run for Water

Donation protected
After 5 months of training and 1,300 kilometres, I’m all set to take on the Dublin marathon on the 26th October.

My cousin, Fr. Martin, is a St. Patrick’s missionary priest in Zambia. He is based outside Lusaka in Foxdale. I’m raising funds for the drilling of a borehole to supply clean water to Mejocama Primary and Secondary School. The project will include installing solar panels with a solar-powered water pump connected to an elevated water tank with piping to the school’s facilities. This will provide clean drinking clean water along with piped water for basic amenities such as, toilets, showers and wash basins. The project will also facilitate the development of agricultural and gardening projects. In addition, the water will be available to the school’s local community. This project will cost €7,500.

With no rains, the Lusaka province is facing high levels of acute water shortages. For the 690 students and staff at Mejocama School and the local community, we have an opportunity to change their lives! To bring clean drinking water to this school which, will significantly improve the health, nutrition, and overall well-being of the students, staff and local community.

My sincere thanks and kind regards.
