Rachel needs our support. She is going to court with her ex-husband over custody issues with the kids. Rachel has tried to avoid going to court for a long time. She is now in a situation to either stand up for her family in court or agree to demands that she feels are truly harmful to the children and threaten their land based community and homeschooling life. Rachel needs support to pay for the lawyer to protect her family. We need $4000 by Monday to retain the lawyer before the Thursday court date. (More might be needed after that, we just don't know how much it will end up costing.) Please donate what you can so Rachel can protect her family.

Our family story has been one of creating a stable and loving home in a simple, productive, agrarian life, despite their father's threats, manipulations, and efforts to control me and the children. I have made a lot of concessions through the years, but the demands have escalated and my children's wellbeing is at stake. It's reached a point where I need help and an advocate holding boundaries in the form of an attorney. The fact that it is moving quickly has been a shock, and I am not financially prepared."

Rachel is an important part of our community at Earthaven. She is a single mother, farmer, herbalist, and communitarian. She needs our help in keeping the kids in the community and protecting a lifestyle where they thrive. Thank you so much for your support.
