Hello Everyone.
On July 24th 2015, My fiance Wayne Atkinson had a terrible life changing experience.
Unfortunately while traveling on his motorcycle, he was strucked by a car sending him and his motorcycle into the air. The motorcycle landed on his left side, fracturing his pelvis, breaking his tibia and fibula. His knee snapped his artery requiring an emergency bypass. His ligaments in his knee where also destroyed.
Sadly after being in the hospital for 2 weeks his infection was not able to be controlled and they had to amputate his left lower leg the day after his 42nd birthday.
Wayne is such a happy person.. he is always smiling and making everyone laugh. He has many friends that love him. He is full of life and I want him to continue being who he is regardless of the circumstances.
He is loved by a strong family, including his 2 children Naykwan and Taylor.
He plays football and basketball with his friends and he is afraid he will no longer be able to play again.
He developed a love for motorcycles 4 yrs ago and we have traveled to Canada, Tennessee, Virginia, Boston, Ct, PA, Ocean City and many many other places. He is such a careful rider, so this has been such a heartbreaking moment for us all.
Even though he has insurance for now, he will need a better prosthetic than the insurance will offer. His road to recovery will be long and hard, he will be in therapy for many months, and I want nothing but the best for him.
With your support you will help him STAND STRONG!!!!
Any contribution is appreciated.
This has been a very devastating experience for him and everyone around him.
Thank You All In Advance.
