Hi my name is Danielle and I’m setting up this Gofund me for my cousin Scott and his family so they can get threw the tough time they are currently facing, along with the medical and funeral expenses, and living costs that lies ahead. About 3 years ago Scott was diagnosed with Stage 4 cirrhosis of the liver and giving a year to live. Oddly Scott beat all odds, and everything the doctors predicted. Over the last few years there have been many ER visits, hospital stays, and scares the family and Scott faced. The cirrhosis never took Scott down, until recently. Over the last week Scott’s health took a turn for the worst. His wife Darlene was at work, when she received a called from the doctors at Baystate asking permission to preform an emergency surgery on Scott due to internal bleeding and Scott being unconscious. Darlene startled not knowing what was going on, agreed. After surgery, we found Scott in a medically induced coma with a ventilator down his throat in ICU. The doctor told us the surgery was unsuccessful, Scott was given days to live. You can only imagine the pain and suffering the family and Scott started to have. With both his sons out of state, one in the Army and the other an over the road contractor, it was time to bring both sons home as Scott’s condition was worst. Scott since has been moved from ICU and placed on Hospice care at Baystate, and currently is living his last days there surrounded by his loved ones. With medical bills piling up, the cost of planning a funeral, along with normal bills piling up I decided put this together for Scott and his family! If you knew Scott you knew this man would take the shirt off his back for anyone! Scott would always go above and beyond to help his friend and family whenever they needed anything, even though he was sick and battling his own illness. He would always put others first before himself! An amazing father, husband, friend, and over all an phenomenal person to be around! Scott and his family at this time need our help more than ever!! Anything you can do to help Scott and his family would be greatly appreciated. No donations is to small! Scott was our savior at one point, now let us be his!!!
