In memory of Alyssa, we would appreciate any contributions to help defray funeral expenses. If the collected funds exceed her final costs we intend to hold them in trust for her son Luca.
With broken hearts, and gratitude for her life, we announce the unexpected passing of Alyssa Louise Scott on Thursday, April 16, 2026. Beloved mother, cherished daughter, treasured sister, and generous friend.
Born May 1st, 1987, Alyssa was a woman of extraordinary strength, grace, and beauty. Her son, Luca, was the love of her life and the centre of her universe. Together they shared many adventures, much laughter, and happy times with their large, close-knit family. It was important to Alyssa that Luca grow up valuing family, personal responsibility, and kindness. Her loving guidance will continue to light his way and shape his life forever.
Alyssa faced more than her share of challenges and returned stronger, with an unbreakable spirit, fierce determination, and commitment to lifting up others along the way. She emerged from her journey with a deeper sense of herself and the motivation to live a full life surrounded by the people she loved.
She will be forever remembered by her son Luca Rodriguez, parents Louise Percival (Richard), and George Scott (Jennifer), her brother, niece, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Alyssa, we will all miss your generosity, love of a good laugh, and ever-present smile.
We are forever grateful for the life you shared with us.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 7 at 11 a.m. at St Kevin’s Church, 303 Niagara Street, Welland, Ontario.
In lieu of flowers, donations are being collected here.
