I'm a self-employed handbookbinder and also teach the same, and my income has been severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic this year. I had a moderate case of COVID early in the year and it really knocked me out of commission physically for several months. On top of that I underwent treatments for squamous cell carcinoma. It's been a hell of a year all around. I have gotten back to some work, but am still below earlier stamina level and at only about 50% of the students I had previously.
Your financial assistance is requested to help me pay the county property & city school taxes plus homeowner's insurance. The house has been in my family for almost 50 years & is completely paid for -- it's only the taxes & insurance I need help in paying to avoid the risk of possibly losing it because of non-payment or disaster. The 2021 estimated total for these expenses are $7900.

As of the evening of Dec 28th the goal set was met and even surpassed. I have paid the Dallas County and Irving Independent School District taxes off for 2021 thanks to your very generous gifts. This is a huge load off my mind. As soon as the bill comes in for home owner's insurance I will pay that off too.

As of today you have provided the funds to pay my Dallas County property and Irving ISD school taxes. In addition you've gotten me well underway to having enough to cover the homeowner's insurance too.
