Life-Saving Breast Cancer Treatment for Camille

How to describe my dear friend Camille? Wildly colorful, huge heart on legs, she marches to her own drum, completely devoted mother, higher-than-high-energy, and many other magical things you don’t come across very often. 

In May of 2019, Camille was diagnosed with an aggressive and rare form of breast cancer and recently completed chemotherapy. What follows is still being decided, but may be surgical with radiation to follow. 

Since the day she was diagnosed, Camille continued to work in a very physical job assembling and packaging palettes for a local microbrewery, along with caring for her 14 year old son, Matteo. Now her employer will not allow her to work until she receives medical clearance. 

Camille will he challenged to cover her upcoming bills during her recovery. But when I asked about creating a crowd-fundraising page, she expressed misgivings about burdening others with her problems. Still, I know she would be both honored and humbled to feel her community behind her as she does whatever is necessary to be completely cancer-free.
