New Horizons' Royal Marsden Fundraiser
Join New Horizons Children's Academy in making a difference and supporting The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
New Horizons is raising money in aid of a Reception pupil at our school who is currently being treated for leukemia at The Royal Marsden Hospital; our staff and students would like to support him as best we can by holding a series of fundraising events involving our whole school community. All funds raised will be sent directly to The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity to fund the work of its world-leading cancer centre, whose work and research has supported patients since 1851 and will continue to do so long into the future.
We have arranged a week of fundraising activities from Monday 23rd to Friday 27th May. Every member of our New Horizons community will be participating in some way, and we are proud to come together as a school to support one of our own.
Our fundraising events include:
- A cycling and rowing challenge, which will take place from Monday 23rd May to Thursday 26th May. Staff and children will be taking it in turns to use the machines, with the aim of travelling the distance in miles from New Horizons Children's Academy to Royal Marsden Hospital each day. The equipment will not stop from 8am until 4pm every day across the four days!
- A bake sale will be held on our playground on Thursday 25th May after school, for all our staff, children and families to attend.

Our children are determined to raise as much money as possible in aid of their fellow New Horizons pupil. We appreciate any donation that you can make - no amount is too small.
