My best friends childhood home was burnt down yesterday in the Valley Fire affecting Middletown and Cobb in Lake County. This fire is still raging and has affected over 40,000+ acres and counting.
Her 20-year-old brother was living at the home, and has been able to safely escape the fire zone. Thank goodness! However, the house and the majority of their belongings were not so fortunate.
Their mother passed away earlier this year unexpectedly, and the home was full of countless belongings and memories of her. This has been such a difficult year for my dear friend and her brother. My heart, thoughts, and prayers go out to them as they navigate through this. Let’s come together as a community and help this family get through this tragic time.
For those of you who are able, please donate to this campaign. All money raised will be directly donated to my best friend’s brother to help him get back up on his feet and to replace some of the necessary belongings lost in the fire. We will also be collecting tangible donations such as household items, men's clothing (small), and toiletries.
