Martin's Surgery and Recovery
Donazione protetta
Martin was rescued when he was 9 months old. I remember picking him up at the aiport, taking him out of his crate, and sitting him on my lap as I drove home. He had his paws resting against my chest as his ears flapped wildly in the rolled down windows wind, him sniffing in ever scent of the California air.
Since that day he has rarely left my side. And over the years, as the grey set in, and when things went south, he would always be there to comfort me, to give me hope, to share his love.
Martin was recently diagnosed with a few tumours and a lot of 'old man dental rot', so it's said. And so he's undergone a not-so-nice surgery to help repair him which, in turn, will help repair me.
And that brings me to this.
After this bill I'll be broke. But it will be worth having him still by my side.
Over the years I've helped move people from place to place, install shelves, build and rebuild walls, secured farms, and donated to various personal campaigns, sacrificing a lot of myself to make others happy because, let's face it, that's what makes me happy. Seeing others smile and beam with life keeps me alive.
If you can spare a dime or two to help Martin on his way to recovery that would be stunning. If you can't, please keep him in your thoughts.
Cheers,
Trevor.
