Funding for music lessons has been cut in Cheshire, meaning schools are now bringing provision in-house. While budgets are tighter than ever, we believe every child still deserves the chance to experience the joy and creativity that music brings.

Our school would love to introduce ukulele lessons for Year 5. The ukulele is such a fun, exciting and accessible instrument — but it also deserves real credibility. It can be learned quickly, yet it builds strong foundations for rhythm, pitch and a sense of joy for music. More importantly, it creates an immediate sense of achievement and confidence for children, sparking a love of music that can last a lifetime.

To make this possible, we are hoping to source a full class set of 30 ukuleles at the most affordable cost we can. Our aim is simple: to ensure that even in times of reduced funding, our children do not miss out on high-quality, inspiring music education.
