Hi Everyone,
My name is Betty
UPDATE ***26/3/2025***
Betty is a now almost 7 month old Stafforshire BullTerrier whom was born with a Bilateral cleft of her primary palate and Bilateral cleft lip.
At just 3 days old Betty was surrendered to myself at Belridge Vet by the breeder due to having the visable Bilateral cleft lip and not being able to feed off mum, requiring tube feeding every 2 hours.
At 12 weeks old at her specialist appointment to view correction of the lip we were advised she also has a bilateral cleft of her primary palate (photo attached), thus aiming for a larger more expensive surgery.
Whilst we were able to raise the first 5k for her first procedure (top incisor removal and head CT scan performed 26/2/25), we only have a couple of weeks to fundraise the rest for the major part of her surgery, correcting the palate and lip so she can live a normal happy life.
Betty's procedures are being performed at Animalius by a highly trained Oral Surgeon, and all of her surgeries are being funded by myself personally if I am unable to fundraise for her - this does not fall onto Belridge Vet as she was surrendered to myself.

**This has been updated since I was 7 weeks old!**
I am an 11 week old Stafforshire, and I was surrendered to the amazing girls at Belridge Vet at just 3 days old! This was due to me being born with a bilateral cleft lip which made it impossible for me to feed from my birth mum.
Myself and my foster humans (aka Iesha and Keryn) waited 6 (10/10/24) weeks to find out if i am a candidate for surgery. Finally we found out I am able to have a top lip created and my nasal passages corrected.
Unfortunately today (15/11/24) we went for a 2nd opinion and found out my condition is worse than we originally thought. Not only do I have a visual deficit, I also have what is known as a bilateral cleft palate of my primary palate (the very front of my mouth)
Sadly this isn’t a procedure I am able to have done with my family at Belridge, so specialist intervention is my only option.
My Foster Family have chosen to start fund-raising to help me get surgery as soon as I am old enough so I can grow to be a Beautiful, big, healthy, happy girl.
Myself and my foster mummy's will be forever greatful for your support, no donation is ever too small.
-Betty
