Displaced by Hurricane Ian

Hi, my name is Alex and I’m fundraising for my fiancé, Joannie (Joa). Her home was completely submerged by the waters of Shingle Creek during Ian. From a car, to appliances, furniture, electronics (home office), even her clothes were drowned in 4-6 ft of brown water from the floods which have have yet to subside below 2-3 ft.

Thankfully she is safe and living with me now but she has lost everything… all on the heels of hearing she needs major surgery. She’s overwhelmed and at a loss for words, even to ask for help is difficult for her right now, hence my stepping in.

Joa has a heart of gold and has seen more adversity in her life than any one person should. Any donations given would go to replacing her lost items (above), in addition to relocation costs. My 2 boys and I only have 2 bedroom apartment so it’s likely we will upgrade to a 3 bedroom as she works from home and needs to have a dedicated office space.
