Hi! My name is Christina and I am doing this fundraiser on behalf of my good friend Wolfgang, who I have known my whole life. He unfortunately has been through a lot in the last couple of years.

Long story short, Jan 2020, his mom, Miriam, was diagnosed by her doctor of 28 years with Dementia with Psychosis. She’s been exhibiting cognitive issues around 2018, often bothering various neighbors, which lead to her getting two restraining orders. During the Covid Quarantine lockdowns, on August 9th 2020, she had an episode where she attacked the neighbors and ended up getting arrested and charged with an assault with a deadly weapon. Wolfgang bailed her out and brought her home, but then three days later on August 12th, 2020, Miriam’s distant cousins, came into town from Florida and had his mom draft a new trust leaving everything to them as beneficiaries and omitting Wolfgang.

Those cousins of Miriam had only visited once and the other twice and had no previous relationship with them or anyone else. What ensued was roughly a three-year litigation over the Estate and Conservatorship. During that time, funds were missing from his family’s Estate, so Wolfgang temporarily moved back home, and cashed out all his savings and investments, to take care of his mom. His mom’s care included her bills, meds, caretaking, etc. This eventually left him without funds to pay for his own things, like his rent. Per the previous legal counsel advice on all sides, a Mediation/Settlement Agreement was done January 2022. The Judge during that mediation, then promised that Wolfgang would be able to petition the courts to get reimbursement for the funds he spent. He attempted to file two Ex Parte Petitions to get those reimbursement funds back, but his mom’s cousins continued to block and fight him from getting those funds, on top of the Covid Rental Relief Program being lifted, he found out his multiple applications for the program (even with signed forms by his mom’s doctor), that those applications were actually rejected and never granted.

Unable to get his funds back in order to pay the back rent and other bills (due to his mom’s cousins continually legally blocking him) he’s on the verge of being evicted within 8 days.
