UPDATE 2
We saw the Oncologist again on June 20, 2023 as Peonie's CT scan results came in. Although we had hoped for better news CT confirmed my wife is now at Stage 2B (in a matter of 6 days) as the cancer is spreading outside her cervix. Due to the spread, we now know she will definitely need radiation and chemo even after surgery to try and kill the cancer cells that have spread further.

Please continue to keep my wife and daughter in your prayers!!!!

UPDATE 1
Before we give an update..WE WOULD LIKE TO EXTEND OUR UTMOST APPRECIATION TO EVERYONE FOR YOUR LOVE, PRAYERS AND SUPPORT!!!!

We finally got to see the oncologist on June 13, 2023 and Peonie is diagnosed with Stage 1B2 Cervical Cancer. She will need Radiation, Chemo and/or Surgery. All of which can't be done here or in Guam. We are working on getting referred to San Diego so my wife can get the medical care she needs.

Yesterday, June 14, 2023 our daughter, Chari, was seen by the Ortho. We were told the only actual "fix" to Scoliosis is surgery, but he doesn't recommend it as Chari is still young, but said the choice is ours. We are concerned for our daughter as this causes her immense pain to the point she can't get out of bed and misses days of school. Although the Ortho has given us this information, Chari, will accompany us to San Diego as we would like a second opinion. As her parents we ARE NOT ok with her just dealing with her pain, there has to be a way and we will find one for her.

We are grateful that the Medical Referral Office is able to get Peonie an appointment so we won't have to wait to see the Doctor once we get to San Diego. However, all other expenses will be at our cost (medical needs/bills, lodging, transportation, food, etc.).

Hafa Adai! My name is Garry Mills and I am humbly asking for all the love, support and most importantly prayers we can get.

On April 5, 2023, my wife, Peonie, thought she had started what would be her normal menstrual cycle. She has always had irregular menstruations so when it continued into May she thought nothing of it. On May 14, 2023, I took my wife to the ER at the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation, as her bleeding got intense (something she had never experienced before) where they did an ultrasound and scheduled her to see the gynecologist on May 19, 2023. All she was told was her cervix was abnormal, her hemoglobin count was 11 and she was sent home.

May 15, 2023 an ambulance took my wife back to the ER as she passed out at home when she attempted to walk to the car so I could take her back as she was feeling dizzy. They did the blood work and gave her fluids and told her that her hemoglobin dropped to 9 but she wasn't sick enough to be admitted. Again she was sent home.

Instead of waiting for the 19th to see the gynecologist, we called the women's clinic and inquired on coming in sooner and they were able to get her in the next day, May 16, 2023, one of the hardest days in our lives as we were informed by the gynecologist that he was sure it was Cervical Cancer and he wasn't wrong, the biopsy results have confirmed it.

May 19, 2023 we are headed back to the ER as her dizziness intensified. When we arrived they did her blood work and gave her fluids. In less that 30 minutes the ER doctor returned to inform us she will be admitted for a blood transfusion as her hemoglobin was now 6.

While my wife was resting in her hospital room. She had asked me to take our daughter, Chariane, to the children's clinic as she has been experiencing severe back pains. Xrays were ordered and later that day we were informed our daughter has severe Scoliosis and that she would need to see an Orthopedic.

The wait for these specialty doctors in Saipan can sometimes take what seems like forever and while Peonie was admitted the gynecologist informed us that she does not want to wait for oncology and will work on the referral process to get her the care she needs. Meanwhile, the waitlist for the Orthopedic is so long, they can't get our daughter an appointment til late July.

My wife and daughter are amazing, kindhearted and extremely selfless. If you don't already know we have dedicated so much of our time to help others in need. We never could imagine the wheels would turn and now we need all the support we can get.

My family and I not only are trying to figure out what to do for 1 loved one but 2. We are doing our best to carry my wifes burden as she worries for our child. We need her to focus on herself in order to be there for our daughter. But how do you ask a mother not to worry for her own?

My wife, Peonie, doesn't lay awake praying for her own healing and strength. She prays for our girl

We are sure that Peonie will have to be medically referred and the gynecologist has informed us most likely it will be to Hawaii. If so, our daughter will also follow in hopes she can get help along with her mom.

We have all learned that Medical Referral has their hands tied and most expenses are now to be covered by patients. We are still grateful for any help we can get from their office.

From a Husband AND Father, I am humbly asking for any help you are able to give to my girls.

Please continue to pray for them We got this
