Hi everyone! My name is Viviana Galiano. I am fundraising for myself to cover medical and travel costs from the past year as well as continuing on.
For those of you who do not know my story, when I was 2 years old I was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. Living with JRA has not been an easy journey. At the end of 2017 through beginning of 2018, my JRA caused me to go blind in my left eye. After surgery, I only got about 15-20% of my vision back. In April of 2022, I noticed my vision in my right eye deteriorating and by the end of September 2022 I had lost all of my vision in my right eye and am now legally blind. Since becoming legally blind I have had to seek help from medical professionals between Sacramento and the Bay area. Medical and travel expenses have built up so much since I am unable to drive or be fully independent, that made expenses stack up as well.
I have had multiple procedures done between September and now. I have a procedure coming up on the 9th of March, and I am extremely happy and relieved to say that I have my surgery scheduled to hopefully restore my vision in my right eye. The surgery is scheduled for April 20th.
I am asking my family and friends, if you have the means to donate or even just share this, it would be greatly appreciated.
