Josh’s recovery

Hi, my name is Keala and I created this fundraiser for one of my best friends Josh and Megan. Josh unexpectedly suffered from a stroke on 5/14/23 and has been in a coma ever since. We are praying for his full recovery and that he will come back to us. With a prolonged hospital stay and multiple procedures, medical bills are accumulating. Plans are to send Josh to the mainland to receive care that is not available here in Oahu for his rehabilitation. Megan has been out of work to be by his side every day.

Everyone who knows Josh loves him dearly. He is one of the most generous people you will ever meet and is always giving to others before himself. You never see him without a smile on his face. He is an amazing husband, dog dad, friend; and so much more. We look forward to his full recovery and seeing that smile again. Thank you for taking the time to read about my fundraiser and your generosity.

Much mahalo to everyone who has donated. This truly demonstrates how loved Josh is around the world. His wife Megan extends her heartfelt thanks to all of you. She is overwhelmed with joy from the love and support shown . Unfortunately, Josh experienced a setback and was readmitted to the Neuro ICU on Thursday, June 29th, 2023. He is fighting hard to emerge from this coma-like state. The doctors are planning to conduct a highly expensive PET scan to search for rare neuroendocrine tumors, which could be the cause of Josh's setbacks. However, insurance does not cover this procedure. The current plan is to transfer him to the mainland once he stabilizes for his rehabilitation. He has already spent seven weeks in the hospital, and the bills are rapidly accumulating. Once again, thank you for all the generous donations. Please share this with your friends and family to help with Josh's medical bills and enable us to get him to the mainland.
