Dory Vet Care

Donation protected
Dory is a 10-12 yr old Treeing Walker Coonhound that was found at a campground.  She came into Rescue on 9/19 with a left leg with the detached achillies and unrepaired break isn't repairable. The right knee is full of arthritis due to a possible torn ACL. In short: two very painful leg injuries that are more than 3 years old.

What's going for her: her hips are perfect. Her demeanor is amazing and she doesn't feel sorry for herself.

What we can do for her: leave the Achilles leg alone and just brace it so she can use as a paddle to help her walk. The right knee is in more pain than the left, so the surgeon can go in and repair the ACL and clean out the arthritis. The goal is pain free life with the right leg being strong enough to support her 68lb booty.

Surgery on her supporting leg is going to start at $2000. Follow up care, leg splint and rehab will START at $1000.  As soon as we have a formal break-down of charges, we will let everyone know.

Or you can call the vet and donate directly to the vet clinic:  Deer Creek Animal Hospital (303) [phone redacted] and apply money "colorado Coonhound Rescue" account.
