HELPING THE STUDENTS OF THE ACA
Raising funds for the beautiful and deserving students of The ACA , Adam Lyon , Cynthia Holsworth & Nelson Gardner , artists bred in Bendigo, will walk the Old Calder. This 200km km distance leads from Nelson’s and Cynthia’s former high school, Bendigo South East College (Where Adam is currently Artistic Director and Cynthia is Manager of the Academy of Creative Arts ‘ACA’) to the Victorian College of The Arts, where all three studied after moving to the Big Smoke.
Throughout their journey they will visit dance schools, choirs, galleries and artists along the way, exploring the history steeped river of creativity that flows between Melbourne and Bendigo.
Thomas Overend and his camera will accompany them to document the journey, it's participants and the many stories they uncover throughout this wodnerful journey.
So why are we raising the money?
In September this year the students of the ACA will head to New York and Los Angeles on a once in a life time trip to explore teh world of the arts.
Participating in workshops, visiting famous galleries, and art schools to help them grow as young artists.
This opportunity will change the very view of the world these promising young artists hold and the funds raised by 'Footsteps' will help lower the cost of the trip an hurdle many families will struggle with.
Help us guarentee this unique experience for these wonderful young humans!
We'll do all the walking - we promise!
