F hurricane Ida

Hi everyone. As you know, hurricane Ida hit the east coast really hard. A lot of family and friends are asking what they can do to help during this tough time, and we are beyond grateful and feel so lucky to have such incredible friends and family offering support. As of right now there’s not much to do except stay in hotels and get by until we can return home and try to piece together our home. My mom is too proud to do this and she could never bring herself to make a go fund me. But after seeing my mom work so hard renovating our entire house with her own two hands, never asking for help, & turning it into our dream home, it kills me to see all of her hard work and most of our possessions entirely under water due to the floods from hurricane Ida. Our fridge, stove, dishes, pellet stove, furniture, washer & dryer, tools, and everything else in our living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, garage and shed is destroyed. With my mom being out of work and our insurance covering none of our contents, it’s just going to be even harder to cover the damages and replace our belongings.
