Hello. my name is Joey Fig.  I am a Butcher at In N Out & I am raising this fundraising for my wife,  Mariezar, mother to our 2 boys- Benicio (7)& Emilio (5).  She was diagnosed with Cancer on August 16, 2019.  The following week, we met up with the surgeon & she was diagnosed with Stage 1 Breast Cancer./ HERs2 aggressive stage 3. On Sept. 6, 2019, the surgeon removed 1.6 lump on right breast, 2nd benign lump below the areola & 3 lymp nodes near the axilla.  Due to Hers 2 hormone showing as positive, she has to undergo chemo treatments to make sure no microscopic cancers are lingering in the body that might metastasized later.  Second, via body/xray scan-the doctor found a lesion on my left femur  unsure at this point ,what it is.  A plan for a CT biopsy is ordered in 2 months to determined if any growth has developed.  Fast forward to today, my wife is undergoing Chemotherapy for the first 12 weeks aggressively/ radiation thereafter.  She is on her 6th week chemotherapy treatments & unfortunately, the financial burden upon us has taken its toll on my family.  I'm currently on a leave of absence to care for my wife but only gets paid for 6 weeks Caregiver ( FMLA).  The medical bills are filling up( surgeries, co pays ( Doc visits), prescriptions, MRIs, X-rays,  CT Scan, MUGA scan, gas (weekly visits to hospital  treatments), radiations ( coming up), etc.  With everything going on, I am very proud & so amazed on how my wife is handling the disease. Her positive spirit, infectious smile & fighting energy has been a true testimony on what a true champ she is.
