“It’s been a whirlwind few days.

From getting dizzy, nauseous and just not feeling right at work on Tuesday. To going to the ER that evening. Fantastic doctor and several nurses took care of me. Rushing tests. Two different CT scans. Explaining things in a way that wasn’t overwhelming or assuming. They found something. A mass in my rectum. A mass in my ass is my new phrase cause ya gotta laugh when ya wanna cry.

The next day. More tests. A colonoscopy. The most wonderful dr by my side when I woke up.

It’s confirmed. It’s cancer. A tumor blocking my exit if you will. Not exactly comfortable.

He reassured me “he’s got me”. He is assembling a team of drs to get this evilness out of me. 6 months of radiation and chemotherapy.

I tell the kiddos this phrase all the time with their own names…

I am brave.

I am strong.

I am GG.

I am also mad.

I’m going to channel that energy to fight with!!

Please don’t feel bad for me it won’t help either of us.

Please get checked yearly.

Please don’t ignore your body when it’s telling you something just isn’t right.
