Last weekend Jordan lost the most important person in his life unexpectedly, his Grandmother, Maria. She was his primary Guardian throughout his life, raising him with unconditional love, good morals and treated him as if he was her own. Given their circumstances of it just being them two and over the years with her health declining, Jordan has been her primary caretaker at home.

He has sacrificed his adolescent years providing for them both, but loved and cared for her so much without any questions asked or for anything in return. I have never seen such a loving and giving bond between a grandmother and her grandson, and seeing him lose the only person that he prioritized first in his life has been so painful to see. Abuela was the best woman and most loving person even to myself. Jordan feels he has lost a major part of his life and is still trying to process this loss.
