KVD is a great friend! He's been there for us in the past and now it's time to be there for him. He has done a lot for the community such as the Wicker Park ice skating rink and participated in charities such as Toys for Tots, One Warm Coat and the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Kris has a heart of gold and is always willing to help when in need- It's time to pay it forward and help him.
KVD has a squamous cell carcinoma tumor in his leg. Treatment will consist of external beam radiation and brachytherapy with a potential for chemo therapy as well. He found the best doctors in Boston and now he will be living there for the next 7 weeks to undergo therapy.
Regardless of the situation, KVD's spirits are high, thanks to everyone’s support and kind words.
The funds will help Kris with medical bills and housing in Boston during his treatment. Kris has been out of work (unemployed) since January and these bills are no joke!
I think I can speak for everyone that we cannot wait for KVD to get back to his over talkative- story telling -hockey loving self.
