Hi everyone! My name is Sylvia and I am the mother of the wonderfully smart, funny and beautiful Kaydence. Her father; Drew, and I are trying to raise money for her to go to one of the nations's most EXCLUSIVE events for young/new talent, it is called the Industry Network.
Kaydence has been attending Acting and Modeling classes at Tower Talent Studios West since October. Although, she was a little shy at first, the classes have proven to open her up and gain confidence. She LOVES the classes she is taking and goes to auditons at the studio at least twice a month. Both Drew and I went into this venture just hoping that she gains confidence and the skills that she will eventually need to speak in public as she grows up. But now she has been offered the opportunity to take this skill a little bit further.
The Industry Network is an event that you may only attend by invite only, meaning everyone that is able to go to this had to audition and be one of the lucky people to be picked to fill one of the 300 spots availible, that's in the NATION! At this event there are about 80 agents that are looking for up and coming talent. This makes it a great opportunity for Kaydence to be able to be picked up by an agent, which is the only way for her to get any kind of job in the entertainment industry.
The money that we are raising is to cover all the costs that it takes to be able to go.
This includes:
Registration and badge for the event
Participation fees
Admittance to all Industry Network workshops and seminars
Opportunity to be seen by top agents, managers and casting directors
All the guidance and preparation for the event
Management and Marketing services before and after the event
Image consultation and wardrobe selection for performances
Bootcamps and Workshops with exclusive LA based instructor
Dress rehersals with Tower Talent Studios
Hair and Makeup before all competitions at the event
Unlimited classes at Tower Talent until time of convention
Daily guided meetings with our Director during the event
Industry Network Parent Package (badge and admittance for a parent)
Hotel package: 4 nights at the Westin LA Airport Hotel
As you can see there are many parts that need to be put together to make this a successful event! She is currently learning a monolague to perform at the event. We will be posting videos of this to give everyone a little look at what she is working on. The Industry Network is going to take place June 23rd-June 27th so we will need all the money by June 3rd. This seems some what far but it's coming up fast!
This means so much to all of us. For Kaydence, this is an experience that will be great for her whether she is picked or not. It will give her the experience to be in front of hundreds of people and feel confident in what she is doing. She is also very excited to be on TV or see herself on a magazine. Of course when you ask her she says that she would most like to meet Dora (from Dora the Explorer). For us, we see it as a once in a life time experience for her. Something that will change her no matter what and that she will forever be able to reference to as "that time that she commanded the attention of a room filled with people"-at age 4! If she was able to get an agent/job we would love to be able to save for her future. College and life is only getting more expensive and we would love to set her up with the ability to do whatever she wants to do when she grows up.
We would be so thankful to everyone that is able to donate anything at all to our cause. This is something that we are not able to fund on our own and will be fundraising in a few different ways to gather all of this money.
