Support Lena’s fight against breast cancer

A week before Christmas, our beloved sister, Lena Tran, faced an unexpected diagnosis: breast cancer (invasive mammary carcinoma, Grade 3). As Lena embarks on a challenging journey of chemotherapy, surgery, radiation and countless doctor visits, our hearts ache for her and the precious family she holds dear – two boys, aged 1 and 18. Adding to the weight of her health struggles, Lena’s dedicated husband, Phat, faces potential job loss in the new year due to budget cuts.

As Lena navigates the uncertainty of her medical insurance duration, we are seeking financial contributions to aid in her medical treatment. For 14 years, Lena served as a pediatric nurse at Cook Children’s Hospital, and while she recently transitioned to a travel nurse role, her access to medical insurance is contingent on employment. Given her current health situation, the timeline for her return to work remains uncertain.

Our goal is to raise funds that will directly contribute to Lena’s fight against breast cancer. These funds will cover expenses related to chemotherapy and other associated costs, alleviating the financial burden and allowing Lena to focus on battling this disease without the added stress of financial strain.
