Thank you for taking the time to hear our story :)
Ezra has had sleep issues from the day he had come home from the hospital. Never took naps, up throughout the night, and has really taken a toll on his day to day activities, as well as the household.
He was diagnosed with Autism in April of this year, which explained alot of his sleep troubles, as well as his other eratic behaviors. On an average night it takes him about 1.5 hours to settle and fall asleep, and usually wakes up about twice per night, once on a good night. When he awakes, he could be up for 30 minutes to 4 hours in the middle of the night. We have exhausted every solution and bedtime routine imaginable, even his therapists are at a loss.
That's when I discovered numerous success stories of other parents with special needs children using the :Floating Bed". Vestibular Therapy is beneficial for a special needs person, because they experience increased visual, auditory, & tactile sensory input, and relaxation at the same time, due to the gentle motion. This aids the special needs child or adult by helping them connect with the outer world, allowing them to come out of their world, making them more socially aware of their surroundings. In this engaged, more peaceful state, they are able to concentrate more easily, & learn more efficiently. Children can become better listeners and interact more fully with their parents, teachers and therapists. Teaching special needs children becomes easier and more effective using the Floating Bed, as most of these children feel more secure and safe in it.
This bed is veryyyyy expensive, and as a single mom, way out of my financial means. Please help us all get a better night sleep with whatever you feel placed on your heart to give.
God Bless
Caitlin & Ezra :)
