Hi everyone! Our son Ezra was diagnosed with B Cell Leukemia on April 19, 2024. We are blessed that I am able to continue working during this time and that his cancer is very treatable and we can be hopeful for a recovery during this time. Unfortunately, the van we bought back in December has been having trouble, and the warranty we purchased for it doesn’t seem to cover what we need it to, despite the dealership telling us it covered everything except tires and maintenance. Usually we would find another solution, but given that our son is receiving care 40 minutes from where we live, and I work 35 minutes from home, having one car means that on a good day it’s going to take at least 75 minutes for us to get him to the hospital. During chemo he has a compromised immune system and even a simple fever can be dangerous. We’re asking for money to help us fix our van and give us breathing room so that if he needs to go back into inpatient care, I can miss work without needing to decide between caring for my family or paying my rent.
