As most know Ezra was diagnosed with Chronic granulomatous disease April of last year. Since then our lives have looked very different. Days have been filled with numerous medications and shots. We had to limit where we went in fear of Ezra coming into contact with something life threatening. We even isolated ourselves from people as much as we could just to keep him healthy and safe. In September, Cameron and I decided to pursue the option of a Bone Marrow Transplant. Ezra’s medical team first wanted to test Charlie to see if he would be a match and it turns out Charlie is the perfect donor for Ezra. So much so that every single doctor all but said we would be crazy to not move forward with it. So we began the very long process of getting ready for transplant and now it’s finally time.

Ezra begins the intake process tomorrow, then chemo on July 5th, then begin introducing Charlie’s bone marrow on July 12th. Ezra will be in a hospital setting for a while but we know without a doubt we are in the best hands and God placed us here for a reason.

We also just found out that we have to be within 30 minutes from the hospital during intake and all rooms in the Ronald McDonald house and other places like that are full. We now have to come up with funds to pay for lodging. We know that times are tough for everyone but we are setting up a go fund me to help pay for lodging for the two weeks prior and the six weeks after Ezra is discharged from the hospital. We appreciate anything that can be donated and all the prayers you can send our way.

We are blessed with the best support system of family and friends who constantly pray for us and lift us up. Although we are nervous of the unknown we still have overwhelming amounts of peace that Jesus’s hands are covering this situation.
