SoCal Volleyball helping Ukrainian Refugees
Several years ago, Coach Jen Monson spent a year in Bratislava, Slovakia working with a sports ministry organization and playing with a volleyball club. Several people she worked with are now assisting with finding shelter for those fleeing Ukraine and for sending humanitarian aid into Ukraine.
There is a woman named Angelina who is risking her own safety to drive a van back and forth to her village. She escaped in a small car with her two teenage children. Her oldest son is not allowed to leave Ukraine because he is required to stay and fight. She brings humanitarian aid from Slovakia to Ukraine, and then she brings people from Kostipil to Slovakia. Every drive to Ukraine and back costs approx. 300 USD. Humanitarian aid for every way there costs approx 1500 USD. Also the church in Michalovce would like to rent a flat for Angelina and for another Ukrainian woman Julia who is here with her daughter Emilia
We would like to partner with Cirkev Bratská in Michalovce, Slovakia for this project. A donation of any amount would be greatly appreciated!
