Ezer Family Antakya Earthquake Relief

We are members of the Ezer Family with roots in Antakya, Turkey one of the cities that suffered the greatest damage and loss in the earthquake of 6 Feb 2023. Like many others in the region, dozens of our family members were directly affected having lost their homes and their belongings. We are raising money to help them maintain and rebuild their lives.

Our aunts, cousins, nephews, and nieces were in their homes sleeping when their building partially collapsed in on them. Miraculously they survived, albeit with cuts, fractures and trauma. Some of them were evacuated after many long hours from a building that leant over ready to collapse. Some had to step out to the garden from a 3rd-floor apartment in a partially collapsed building. As members of the Ezer Family living abroad, we are directly supporting our relatives - 7 households with a total of 14 adults and 11 children to maintain their lives, relocate to safe accommodation and eventually own a place where they can call home again. Many friends and colleagues have asked us how they can help and this fundraiser has been created for anyone wishing to help to join us in helping our family rebuild their lives.

All the money raised will go directly to our family and friends who have lost everything overnight. In the short term, the money will go to buy the essentials like clothes, medicine, lodging, etc. Longer term, any leftover funds will go to help rebuild their lives. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has already reached out and asked how they can help. The best thing you can do to help us is to share this and spread the word and contribute.
