Dear friends and family,
My precious son has passed away.
He passed away due to severe seizure activities and complications associated with those activities on Thursday July 19, 2018 at 4:49pm.
Being his mother, I got to cherished every moment with him, from the time he took his first breath outside the womb, until the day he took his last breath, being held in my arms.
My love for my son is more than I can describe in words, the tears that continually flow day and night make me realize just how much loving someone can change a person's life and the impact it can have to truly undestand the meaning of love.
I have gotten the privilege, the incredible blessing, and the miracle to experience 11 years and 19 1/2 days with a little boy who showed me what love really means. My life will be forever changed because he was in it and it will be forever changed without him also.
Our life was not a typical one by any means, we had daily struggles, and my little man lived with diagnosis of 22q11.23 deletion, intractable epilepsy, and many other diagnoses.
However, my son's life was not defined by what was on paper, but by the moments of ordinary things.
Enjoying the little things in life, because those were the big things for us.
We lived simply, gratefully, and cherishing every moment to create a life full of memories. (One of which was our love for the coast).
P.S.
If I can request that in replace of flowers or gifts that a financial donation could be made to help out with funeral expenses and transitional time of healing please.
Thank you,
Sincerely,
Chelsea Rook (Ezekiel's Mother)
